Let’s Create Something Wonderful.

I'm one of the rare younger people actually born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia. I have spent over a decade here fine-tuning my customer service skills, which have served me well during my career change into the UX design field. After spending the whole of my professional life in a single industry, I knew it was time to take on a different challenge. So, I quit and started looking for career paths that would stir my creativity and give me a problem to solve. It took reading just one single paragraph about the role of a UX designer to make me think this career must have been built for me! It ticked more boxes than I knew could be fulfilled within one career.

For instance, design in general has always interested me, because I love nurturing something that starts as an idea in my head, taking it to paper for others to visualize, to a finalized work to be interacted with. But UX also engages my analytical side, which likes working out how people think.

I learned with each customer in the past that no matter how many times you've pressed that same button, or explained a company policy, every problem is different because the individual in front of you has needs very particular to them. Likewise in UX, the more user needs that you can grasp, the better your solution will be for your target audience.

And ultimately, who doesn't want to work in technology right now? Every industry is enhanced by it and, more importantly, can be improved by it. This moment in time makes it so that anyone is able to carve out their own home in the tech world. I'm just lucky enough to have found my way to it.

If you are looking for a passionate, organized, and empathetic UX designer to hire or collaborate with, I would be thrilled to hear from you. I'm currently available for full-time employment and freelance work. I can't wait to hear from you!

How I Work.

Collaborative.

"You can't design in a vacuum." That's been proven true at least 100 times. Working with other team members, remotely or in person, is the only way a product will be truly useful to real people. And it's just refreshing to swap ideas and viewpoints around.

Sketches.

This may be my favorite part of the design process. It is the first step that puts designers and non-designers on equal footing. We can all begin visualizing the goal and yet there's so much improvement ahead still.

Voice.

Voice User Interface (VUI) is a versatile specialization that can be harnessed to aid in accessibility, make the everyday task safer, or just get the fun started quicker. I've created Alexa skills and am ready to delve deeper into what can be created.

Prototypes.

I'm driven and a quick study. I'm very familiar with Adobe XD and Figma, but I will enjoy learning whatever tool works best for you and your team.
